Straight answers
Questions business owners actually ask.
Most of these come up on the first call. Who are you. Will I lose my reviews. What does it cost. How long does it take. Do I own everything. Here are the honest answers, before you book.
Who we are and how we work
Is Wired Builder an agency, a freelancer, or something else?
Neither. Wired Builder is a build studio: one point of contact with a team behind it, covering sales, websites, SEO, automation, and security. Unlike an agency, there are no account managers and no handoffs. Unlike a freelancer, the work does not stop at one skill. We scope the work, we do the work, and we own the outcome.
More detail
The agency and freelancer models both break in predictable ways. An agency gives you reach, but you talk to an account manager instead of the people doing the work, and your job moves through handoffs and queues. A freelancer gives you speed and a direct line, but one set of hands has one specialty and a hard cap on capacity.
A studio sits in between. The people doing the work are the people you talk to. We cover the five things a growing business actually needs, sales, sites, SEO, automation, and security, and when a job needs a specialist we bring one in. You still deal with one studio that owns the result.
We wrote an honest side by side of all three options, including where an agency or a freelancer is genuinely the better choice.
- One point of contact, a team behind it, no handoffs.
- Five capabilities under one roof instead of one skill or one department.
- Specialists join when needed. The studio still owns the result.
Who actually does the work, and who am I dealing with day to day?
You deal with Blake Mitchell, the founder, and he does the core work. Behind him is a network of trusted specialists who come in when a project needs depth. You are never handed to an account manager, and you never have to manage the extra people yourself. One point of contact from the first call to the finished work.
More detail
Blake spent twenty years across cybersecurity, enterprise sales, and founding companies before opening the studio. That background is why Wired Builder starts with the business problem instead of the task list.
The team is real but it is not layers. When a project needs a specialist, we bring in people we trust and have shipped with before, and they work to the same standard. The difference from an agency is that extra hands never become extra process. You still talk to the person responsible for the outcome.
And when something breaks, you do not open a ticket and wait in line. You message us.
- Blake does the core work and stays your single point of contact.
- Trusted specialists join when a job needs depth. You do not manage them.
- No account managers, no ticket queues, no layers.
Do you only work with Vancouver businesses, or do you take clients across the US and Canada?
Both. The studio is based in the Vancouver area and works with clients across Canada and the United States. Everything about how we work is built for remote, we are on Pacific time, and we speak native English, so there is none of the offshore friction. For US companies there is a bonus: as of mid 2026 the exchange rate makes work priced in Canadian dollars roughly a quarter to a third cheaper for a US buyer.
More detail
Local clients get the local advantages. We know Metro Vancouver, we build for it, and local SEO work here comes with real ground knowledge.
Remote clients lose nothing. The builds, the reporting, the tracking, and the check in calls all work the same whether you are in Surrey or Seattle or Austin. Pacific time overlaps the entire US work day, so you are not waiting overnight for an answer.
For US businesses the math gets better. As of mid 2026 one US dollar buys about 1.39 Canadian dollars, so work priced in Canadian dollars lands roughly a quarter to a third cheaper once converted. And because a Canadian studio is a foreign contractor, the paperwork is usually lighter than putting someone on US payroll. Confirm the specifics with your accountant.
- Vancouver based, serving clients across Canada and the United States.
- Pacific time overlaps the entire US work day. No offshore friction.
- The exchange rate makes Canadian pricing a real saving for US buyers.
Do I have to buy the whole bundle, or can I start with one thing?
Start with one thing. Most clients come in for a single project, usually a website or SEO, and add more only if the work earns it. The five capabilities exist so you never have to bolt on another vendor when the next problem shows up, not so we can sell you all five on day one. We scope what you actually need, put a fixed price on it, and start there.
More detail
The studio covers sales, sites, SEO, automation, and security because business problems do not respect service categories. A slow site is an SEO problem. A leaky pipeline is an automation problem. But covering all five does not mean charging for all five.
A typical path looks like this: we rebuild or launch your site, the site starts pulling search traffic, and then it makes sense to talk about what happens to those leads. Each step is its own decision with its own price. Nothing gets bundled in behind your back.
- Most engagements start with a single project.
- Each step is scoped and priced on its own. No forced bundle.
- The breadth means you never need to add a second vendor later.
For sales work, do you give advice or actually run the outreach?
We run it. Sales at Wired Builder means building the outreach, the pitch, and the follow up, and then closing, not handing you a strategy deck and wishing you luck. Twenty years of selling, to businesses and to consumers, sits behind every campaign. You get messaging that sounds like a human and a pipeline you can see and trust.
More detail
Most consultants hand you a deck and leave. That is the exact model this studio was built against. If we take on your sales, we are in the work: the outbound, the inbound, the scripts, the follow up, and the close.
The goal is not activity, it is closed deals. We build the pipeline so you can see every stage, and we measure it the same way we measure a website: with real numbers you can check, not a feeling.
- We build and run the outreach, then we close.
- Messaging and scripts that sound like a human, not a template.
- A pipeline you can see and trust, measured in closed deals.
How long does a project take?
Most website launches are measured in weeks, not months, and you get a real date in writing when we scope the work. There are no agency layers here, so nothing sits in a queue waiting for approval. What moves the date is scope: how many pages, whether the content exists yet, and whether we are migrating an existing site that needs a careful transfer.
More detail
The date comes out of the scoping call, next to the fixed price. We would rather give you an honest date up front than a fast one we quietly miss.
Three things stretch a timeline: content that still needs to be written, decisions that need more people in the room, and migrations where rankings and reviews have to move safely. None of them are problems. They just belong in the plan, so we put them there before we start.
- A real date in writing at scoping, next to the fixed price.
- No queues and no handoffs, so the work moves.
- Content readiness and safe migration are what move dates most.
Your reviews, rankings, and local search
Will I lose my Google reviews if you move my website?
No. Your Google reviews live on your Google Business Profile, not on your website, so moving or rebuilding your site does not touch them. We connect your new site to your existing profile using structured data, so your reviews, your map listing, and your search history all stay intact and keep working.
More detail
This is the question we hear most, so let us be clear. Your reviews are not stored on your website. They live on your Google Business Profile. That means when we rebuild or move your site, the reviews are never at risk.
What we do is link the new site to your existing profile so Google understands they are the same business. We use a piece of structured data that tells Google this new address and this Google profile are the same company. Your reviews stay, your star rating stays, and your map presence stays.
We have done this exact migration before. We moved a client from Wix to a new build, reconnected the Google Business Profile, and not only kept every review, the profile started ranking higher. You do not lose anything. If anything, a faster, better structured site usually helps your profile rank better in local search.
- Reviews live on Google, not your website. A site change cannot delete them.
- We use structured data to connect your new site to your existing Google profile.
- A cleaner site often improves local ranking, not hurts it.
Will I lose my Google rankings or search traffic if you rebuild my site?
No, and protecting your rankings is the whole point of how we do a migration. We map your existing pages, set up redirects so old links still work, and keep your URLs and content authority intact. Done right, a rebuild preserves your search position and usually improves it because the new site is faster and better structured for Google.
More detail
A bad migration can hurt your rankings. A careful one protects them. We treat the safe transfer as the most important part of the job, not an afterthought.
Here is what that means in plain terms. Before we move anything, we look at what you already rank for. Then we make sure every old web address still leads somewhere using a 301 redirect, which tells Google this page moved here, send the credit to the new spot. We keep your content and your page structure so the authority you have already built carries over. We also build a sitemap, which is the file Google and AI tools read to understand all your pages and when they last changed.
The reason rankings often go up after a rebuild is simple. Old sites on platforms like Wix or older WordPress setups are slow and messy under the hood. One client site went from a 38 out of 100 performance score on Wix to 100 on desktop after the rebuild. A modern build loads faster and is easier for search engines to read, and both of those are ranking factors. So you keep what you have and you give yourself room to climb.
- A safe transfer is the priority, not an afterthought.
- 301 redirects pass your existing search credit to the new pages.
- Faster, cleaner sites usually rank better, so a rebuild is an upside not a risk.
Do you do local SEO for businesses in Vancouver and Metro Vancouver?
Yes. Wired Builder is based in the Vancouver area and works with businesses across Metro Vancouver, including Surrey, Burnaby, Richmond, Coquitlam, Delta, Langley, North Vancouver, West Vancouver, New Westminster, Port Coquitlam, Port Moody, and Maple Ridge. Local SEO means getting you found when nearby customers search, by optimizing your Google Business Profile, your local citations, and your site for near me searches.
More detail
Local SEO is how a business gets found by customers who are physically nearby and ready to act. It is different from broad SEO because the goal is to win the searches that happen with intent, like business consultant near me or your service plus your city.
We work with businesses across the Metro Vancouver region. Vancouver is home base, and we serve the surrounding cities including Surrey, Burnaby, Richmond, Coquitlam, Delta, the Langleys, North and West Vancouver, New Westminster, Port Coquitlam, Port Moody, Maple Ridge, and the smaller communities around them. Because we work remotely with a local anchor, where you are in the region is not a barrier.
The work itself comes down to three things. First, your Google Business Profile, which is the listing with your reviews and map pin, needs to be complete and optimized. Second, your business needs to show up consistently across local directories and citations so Google trusts that you are a real, established local business. Third, your website needs the right structure and content so it can rank for the local searches your customers actually type.
- Vancouver based, serving all of Metro Vancouver.
- Local SEO targets high intent near me and city specific searches.
- The work is Google Business Profile plus local citations plus an optimized site.
How long does SEO take to show results?
It depends on where you start, and anyone promising a fixed date is guessing. From real client work: local search can move fast. One client went from no inbound calls to roughly a Google call a day, with 750 clicks from Google in 28 days. Broader competitive terms take months of steady work. Either way, you see the real numbers every month, so you always know where you stand.
More detail
Three things set the pace: the authority your site already has, how competitive your terms are, and how much technical debt the current site is carrying. A business with reviews and history that just needs a proper foundation can move quickly. A brand new domain in a crowded market takes longer.
Local intent is the fast lane. Searches like your service plus your city, or near me searches, respond to a complete Google Business Profile, consistent citations, and pages built for those queries. Head terms with national competition are the slow lane, and they need content and authority built over time.
What we do not do is hide behind the timeline. Tracking goes in from day one, you get a plain language report every month, and you watch the same numbers we do. If it is working you will see it, and if something needs to change we say so.
- Local search can show movement in the first month. Competitive terms take months.
- Pace depends on existing authority, competition, and technical debt.
- Real numbers monthly, so progress is visible, not promised.
Cost, pricing, and the tools we use
What does it cost to run my website every month after you build it?
Close to nothing. We build on free, industry standard tools, so your only required ongoing cost is your domain name, which runs about $10 to $15 a year. There is no monthly hosting bill baked in. If you want us to keep growing and maintaining the site, that is an optional monthly plan, separate from running costs.
More detail
Most people assume a new website means a new monthly bill. With the way we build, it does not.
We use tools that are free and used by some of the biggest companies in the world. The site framework is free. The hosting and security layer is free for the way we set it up. The backup system is free. The analytics that show us how visitors use your site is free. The only thing you actually have to pay for is your domain name, and a domain is roughly $10 to $15 a year.
So your running cost is basically a cup of coffee a year. Separate from that, you can choose an optional monthly plan if you want us to keep maintaining, monitoring, and growing the site for you. That is a service choice, not a cost of keeping your site online. If you ever stop the plan, your site keeps running.
- Required ongoing cost is just your domain, about $10 to $15 a year.
- No monthly hosting bill is built in.
- Ongoing growth and maintenance is an optional, separate monthly plan.
How does your pricing work?
There are two parts. First is a fixed fee launch project to build or migrate your site, paid in two halves: half to kick off and half on delivery. If you are not happy at delivery, the kickoff half is refundable. Second is an optional monthly growth plan if you want us to keep maintaining and improving the site after launch. The monthly plan is separate and optional.
More detail
We keep pricing in two clean pieces so you always know what you are paying for.
The first piece is the launch. This is a fixed fee project to build your new site or safely migrate your existing one, set up your lead forms and tracking, and get everything optimized and live. We split that fee into two payments: half up front to kick off, and the other half when we deliver the finished product. If you are not happy with what we deliver at that delivery point, we refund the kickoff half. That keeps the risk on us, not you.
The second piece is the monthly growth plan, and it is completely optional. If you want us to keep maintaining the site, watching for errors, generating reviews, building local citations, monitoring competitors, and reporting in plain language, that runs as a monthly service. If you just want the site built and then to run it yourself, that is fine too.
There is also a third option for the right business. Instead of a higher flat monthly fee, we can charge a low base plus a percentage of the revenue the site brings in. The idea is simple: if we are the ones driving you more business, we should only do well when you do well. That ties our incentives to your growth instead of to a retainer. Which option fits depends on your business, so we talk it through on the call.
- Fixed fee launch project, paid half up front and half on delivery.
- Kickoff half is refundable if you are not happy at delivery.
- Optional monthly plan after launch: flat fee, or a low base plus a share of revenue.
What is the monthly growth plan and what is the difference between the tiers?
The monthly plan keeps your site healthy and growing after launch. The essential tier covers maintenance: keeping the site running, tracking errors, reviewing systems, and a monthly report and check in. The managed tier adds active growth: review generation, local citations and backlinks, AI search optimization, visitor session tracking, and competitor monitoring. Both are optional and you can change or cancel anytime.
More detail
After launch, a website is not done. Search changes, competitors move, and small things break. The monthly plan is how we keep your site working for you instead of slowly going stale.
The essential tier is upkeep. We keep the site running, watch for and fix errors, review the systems each month, send you a plain language report, and we have a short call to fine tune. It is the safety net.
The managed tier is upkeep plus active growth. On top of everything in essential, we work on generating more reviews, building local citations and backlinks so your site gains authority, optimizing for AI search, installing visitor tracking so we can see how people actually use the site and improve it, and monitoring your competitors. This is the tier for a business that wants to climb, not just hold steady.
Both tiers are optional, both are month to month, and you can move up, down, or cancel whenever you want. We will also test ideas and small improvements in the background without charging extra, because our goal is your results.
- Essential is maintenance, monitoring, monthly report and call.
- Managed is essential plus active growth: reviews, citations, AI search, tracking, competitor watch.
- Both optional, month to month, change or cancel anytime.
What tools do you build with and why those?
We build on a modern, free, industry standard stack: Astro for the site framework, Cloudflare for hosting and security, GitHub for backups, and PostHog for visitor analytics. These are the tools the biggest companies use, they are free for the way we set them up, and they make your site fast, secure, and cheap to run.
More detail
You do not need to know the tools to benefit from them, but here is the short version of why we pick what we pick.
We use Astro as the framework. It is what a lot of the biggest companies on the internet have moved to, and it produces fast, modern sites. Almost nobody builds serious new sites on old WordPress anymore. We use Cloudflare for hosting and a security layer, GitHub as a backup system so your work is never lost, and PostHog so we can see how visitors use the site and improve it.
Two things tie these together. First, they are all free or nearly free for the way we configure them, which is why your running costs stay near zero. Second, they are industry standard, which means your site is not built on something fragile or obscure that only we understand. It is built on tools any good developer can pick up, which protects you long term.
- Astro, Cloudflare, GitHub, PostHog. Modern and industry standard.
- Free or nearly free, which keeps your running costs near zero.
- Standard tools mean you are never locked into us specifically.
Why do you build on Astro instead of WordPress or Squarespace?
Because a static site is faster, safer, and cheaper to run than a platform dragging a database, an admin login, and a stack of plugins behind it. We measured it on a live client rebuild in June 2026: the same site was roughly 3.5 times lighter and 2.8 times faster to first byte after the move. And with no code running on a server, there is nothing to hack and nothing to patch.
More detail
WordPress builds every page while the visitor waits, using a PHP application and a database. A static Astro site is built once ahead of time and served from a global edge network, so visitors get plain, fast pages with no server in the way.
Honest caveat: WordPress earns its keep when a content team publishes every day and needs to edit everything themselves. Most business sites are five to fifteen pages that change a few times a year, and for those, WordPress is machinery you pay rent on without using.
Editing is covered either way. You send us a change and it is live the same day, or for pages you touch often we wire up a simple editor, so you get the self serve part of WordPress without dragging the whole platform along.
- Measured on a live rebuild: roughly 3.5 times lighter, 2.8 times faster to first byte.
- No database and no plugins means nothing to hack or patch.
- WordPress still wins for daily publishing teams. Most businesses are not that.
Ownership, access, and leaving
Do I own my website and my accounts, or do you?
You own everything. The domain, the accounts, the hosting, and the code all belong to you and stay in your name. We work as an admin you invite, not as the owner. You can remove us and take everything with you at any time. You are never locked in, and you never lose access to your own business.
More detail
This matters more than almost anything else, so we keep it simple. You own it all.
When we set up your accounts, you create them and you are the owner. You then add us as an admin so we can do the work. That is the opposite of how a lot of agencies operate, where they own the accounts and you have to ask permission to touch your own website. With us, the keys are always yours.
If we ever stop working together, you keep the domain, the site, the code, and every account. We will even show you how to manage it yourself if you want to. To keep access secure, we usually set up a shared password manager so we both have what we need without you ever emailing us a raw password. You stay in control, and you can revoke our access in a couple of clicks whenever you choose.
- You own the domain, accounts, hosting, and code.
- We work as an admin you invite, not as the owner.
- You can remove us and take everything at any time. No lock in.
How do I give you access to my accounts safely without sharing my password?
You never send us a password. Instead, you add us as an admin inside your account, which most platforms support with one click. For anything that does not have built in admin sharing, we set up a shared password manager so we both have secure access without raw passwords ever changing hands.
More detail
Sharing logins by email or text is how accounts get compromised, so we do not work that way. There is a safer path and it is just as easy.
Most modern platforms let you invite someone as an admin or a collaborator. You stay the owner, we get the access we need to do the work, and you can remove us instantly. That covers most of what we use. For the few things that do not have that feature, we set up a shared password manager, which is a secure vault where credentials are stored encrypted and shared without either of us ever seeing or sending a plain password.
This comes from real security experience. Wired Builder grew out of a background in cyber security, including ethical hacking, so we take access hygiene seriously. The goal is that you get all the convenience of a partner who can act fast, with none of the risk of handing your business keys around in plain text.
- Never send passwords by email or text.
- Use built in admin invites where possible.
- Use a shared password manager for the rest, with encrypted, revocable access.
What if it does not work out? Can I leave?
Yes, easily, and you take everything with you. You own your domain, site, code, and accounts, so leaving just means removing our admin access. There is no lock in. On the launch project, if you are not happy with what we deliver, the kickoff payment is refundable, so the early risk sits with us.
More detail
We do not want to keep clients by trapping them. We want to keep them by being worth it. So leaving is built to be painless.
Because you own your domain, your site, your code, and your accounts, you are never dependent on us to keep your business running. If you decide to part ways, you remove us as an admin and you keep everything. Any optional monthly plan is month to month, so you can cancel anytime.
On the build itself, we put the early risk on our side. If you are not happy with what we deliver at the delivery milestone, we refund the kickoff payment. After that point there are real costs in play, but the point is that you never have to gamble to start. You stay in control the whole way through.
- You own everything, so leaving is just revoking admin access.
- Monthly plans are month to month, cancel anytime.
- Kickoff payment is refundable if you are not happy at delivery.
Can I update the website myself after launch?
Yes, two ways. For pages you change often, we wire up a simple editor so you can update them yourself without touching code. For everything else, you send us the change and it is live the same day, tracked in version control. Either way the whole site lives as code in GitHub, so any previous version can come back in minutes if something ever goes sideways.
More detail
Self serve editing is scoped to where you actually need it. Blog posts, service pages, hours, team bios, whatever you touch often gets an editor. That gives you the convenient part of a platform like WordPress without carrying its database, plugins, and attack surface.
For the rest, sending us the change is usually faster than editing it yourself would be. It goes in as a tracked change, it gets reviewed, and it ships the same day. And because every change is a commit in GitHub, there is a full history of who changed what and when. Nothing can be lost by accident.
- A simple editor for the pages you change often.
- Everything else: send the change, live the same day.
- Full version history in GitHub. Any version restores in minutes.
Do we sign a contract, and can I read your terms before booking a call?
Yes to both. Every engagement runs on a written agreement with the scope and the fixed price in it. And our standard agreements, the master services agreement, the terms, and the privacy policy, are published publicly, so you can read every word before you ever talk to us. No surprises hiding on page nine.
More detail
The scoping call produces a written scope and a fixed number, and that is what we both agree to before anything starts.
Most studios make you ask for their paperwork. Ours is public. The master services agreement, the terms, and the privacy policy are published at one address in plain language, so you can check what working together actually means before the first call.
- Written scope and a fixed price before anything starts.
- The MSA, terms, and privacy policy are public.
- Read everything before you ever book a call.
Moving, rebranding, and getting found
What happens to my old website address when you move or rebrand my site?
Your old address keeps working. We set up a 301 redirect, which automatically sends anyone who visits your old web address to your new one, and tells Google to move your search credit along with it. So old links, business cards, and search results all still lead customers to you. Nothing breaks and nothing gets lost.
More detail
You have given out your web address on cards, emails, listings, and to past customers. Losing that would be a real cost, so we never just turn the old one off.
We use a 301 redirect. In plain terms, that is a permanent forwarding instruction. Anyone who types or clicks your old address lands on the new one automatically, and Google reads the redirect as this moved permanently, send the reputation to the new place. That means your old links keep working and the search authority you built does not vanish, it transfers.
This also lets you do smart things with multiple domains. You can own more than one domain, including a cleaner or more brandable name, and point them all at the same site. People can spell it three different ways and still land in the right place. You keep your old name credibility and gain a better front door at the same time.
- A 301 redirect forwards visitors and passes search credit to the new address.
- Old links, cards, and listings keep working.
- You can point multiple domains at one site to catch every spelling.
Can I keep my business name and still get a better domain or brand?
Yes. You do not have to choose. You can keep your legal business name, your LLC, your bank account, and your email exactly as they are, and add a cleaner or more memorable domain on top. Both domains point at the same site. If you want to brand under a new name publicly, a simple DBA, which means doing business as, lets you do that without changing your company.
More detail
This is the question that paralyzes a lot of owners, so let us take the pressure off. You can have both, and you can keep it reversible.
Your legal name, your LLC, your banking, and your email can all stay exactly as they are. There is no requirement to tear anything up. If you want a cleaner or more brandable domain, you buy it, and we point it and your existing domain at the same website using redirects. A customer can reach you either way.
If you want to actually present a new brand name to the public, you do not need to restructure your company. You register a DBA, which means doing business as. It is cheap and simple. For example, in Vancouver a DBA registration is around $31. Your company stays the same on paper, and you get to market under a name that travels better and is easier to spell out loud. So you keep your credibility and you get room to grow your brand, without betting the business on a rename.
- Keep your legal name, LLC, bank, and email. No restructuring needed.
- Add a cleaner domain and point both at one site.
- A DBA lets you market under a new name without changing your company.
How do you get my business found, including in AI search like ChatGPT?
We optimize you for both traditional search and AI search. For Google, that means the right keywords, clean site structure, strong local signals, and reviews. For AI tools like ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Google AI overviews, it means clear, well structured content and structured data so the engines can read, trust, and quote your business when someone asks a question you can answer.
More detail
Search is splitting into two paths, and we build for both.
The first is classic Google search. We find the specific phrases your customers actually type, including the ones nobody is competing for yet, and we build pages aimed at them. We keep the site fast and well structured, strengthen your local signals like your Google Business Profile and reviews, and build authority over time with citations and links.
The second is AI search, sometimes called AEO or GEO. More people are asking ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, and Google AI overviews questions instead of scrolling a results page. To get surfaced and quoted there, your content has to be clear, factual, and well structured, and your site needs structured data that tells the engines exactly who you are and what you do. A site that answers real questions in plain language, like this page does, is exactly what AI engines like to cite.
The combined goal is simple: when a nearby customer searches, on Google or through an AI tool, your business is the answer that shows up.
- Google SEO: keywords, clean structure, local signals, reviews, authority.
- AI search: clear, factual, well structured content plus structured data.
- A plain language FAQ is one of the best assets for getting cited by AI.
How will I know if my new website is actually working?
You will see it in real numbers, not guesses. We add a lead form so prospects can reach you, call and click tracking so you know how many people contacted you and where they came from, and visitor analytics so we can see how people use the site. Then we report it to you in plain language every month.
More detail
A website that looks nice but does not bring in business is just decoration. We build to make the results visible.
First, we make sure there is a clear way for visitors to take action, like a lead form or a call button, so interest turns into contact. Then we add tracking so you can actually see what is happening: how many people reached out, how many clicked, and where they came from. We also install visitor analytics that show how people move through your site, which tells us what to improve next.
The important part is that we do not hand you a confusing dashboard and walk away. We translate the numbers into plain language and we go over them on a monthly call. You should always be able to answer is this working with a real number, not a feeling.
- Lead forms and call tracking turn interest into measurable contact.
- Visitor analytics show how people use the site so we can improve it.
- You get plain language reporting, not a dashboard you have to decode.
AI, and where search is going
Do you use AI to do the work?
Yes, openly. AI is leverage on the work, not a replacement for judgment. It is a big part of why one studio can cover what used to take an agency, at a price that is not agency priced. Every build, every page, and every campaign is still reviewed and owned by a human who signs their name to it. Our founder also runs an AI research company, so this is a core competence, not a bolted on tool.
More detail
The honest version: AI makes the research deeper, the builds faster, and the busywork disappear. That saving shows up in your price and your timeline. What AI does not do here is ship unreviewed work. Judgment, taste, and accountability stay human.
This is also what we sell. The automation capability is us wiring the same leverage into your business: manual steps replaced with reliable workflows, tools that talk to each other, and time back for the work only you can do.
Blake is co-founder and CEO of Ventenova, an AI research company, and writes in public about building with AI. If you want to see how the thinking works before you trust it with your business, the writing is all there.
- AI for leverage, humans for judgment and accountability.
- The savings show up in your price and your timeline.
- The same leverage is for sale as the automation capability.
Do I still need a website if people ask ChatGPT instead of Google?
Yes, more than ever. AI assistants do not invent answers about local businesses. They pull from sources they can read and trust, and the source that matters most is a fast, clearly structured website that says plainly who you are, what you do, and where you do it. Without one, the AI has nothing solid to quote, so it recommends someone else.

Search is splitting. More people ask ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, and Google AI overviews a question and act on the recommendation without ever seeing a results page. That does not make websites matter less. It changes what they are for: your site is now the source material the engines read.
What gets a business cited is exactly what we build: structured data that tells the engines who you are, fast clean pages they can parse, and plain language answers to real questions. A page like this one exists partly for that reason.
The businesses that lose in AI search are the ones on slow template sites with thin content, because there is nothing there for the engine to trust. The fix is not a trick. It is a well built site.
- AI assistants recommend businesses they can read and verify.
- Your website is the source material. Structured data and clear answers get cited.
- Slow, thin template sites are invisible to AI search.
